Jackson County, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is warning about a scam.
Deputies say they’ve received two reports of a man has calling and claiming to be a lieutenant with the Sheriff’s Office who says he’s calling about a grand jury letter.
The calls usually continue with a demand for money in order to avoid arrest for not complying with a court order.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says they will never call you and ask for money for any reason.
