Medford, Ore — Students attending Kids Unlimited Academy can now attend for ten hours per day. The charter school adopted a 10-hour school day schedule, allowing parents to drop their children off at 7:30 AM, and pick them up at 5:30 PM.

Executive Director Tom Cole said the new model doesn’t mean that kids are in class then entire time. They still maintain regular school hours, with activities scheduled before and after class.

“We really looked at the needs of our children and families and got a lot of input from families about what were the dynamics that they wanted to see in their children’s education,” Cole said.”It all went to part of the bigger plan, and they love a longer day.”

For the 2015 school year, the school added Kindergarten as a grade, and with it, an additional 50 students. The Academy also has new uniforms for the students.
