Klamath Falls’ first dispensary to open Wednesday

Klamath Falls, Ore. — Klamath Falls’ first medical marijuana dispensary is scheduled to open Wednesday.

Edward Medina, Jr. received his state license Monday to open his dispensary on Washburn Way.

The Klamath Falls City Council voted 3 to 2 back in March to allow dispensaries.

Medina believes they made the right decision “We invite them, an open invitation to come in and check out our system, check out the security measures we have in place, and to realize that this is a medical facility – not a pot shop.”

While dispensaries are allowed in Klamath Falls, they’re prohibited in Klamath County.

County commissioners voted last week to adopt a one year moratorium.
