Klamath Falls Ice Sculptures

Some spectacular ice formations are showing up along the East Side of the Link River in Klamath Falls.A combination of single-digit temperatures and an aging redwood pipe have made for an amazing display.

The pipe carries water from Upper klamath Lake to a small power plant at the south end of the Link River.

Thewooden flow line was constructed in 1924 and it’s got quite a few holes in it Coldsnaps like we areexperiencing lately make for makes some pretty fantastic ice sculptures.”

The Klamath County Museum sponsored tours of the area over the weekend, over 100 people attended.
