Central Point Family Experience Fire And Loss

Ahouse fire in Central Point burns up a bedroom but thanks to quick thinking, a mom and her two kids made it out safe.

It happened in the 400-block of Grand Avenue before 11 Monday morning.

Fire officials say one bedroom and the contents inside were burned. They say the fire caused extensive smoke damage in the rest of the house. Officials say they did put a ventilation hole in the roof to help evacuate some of the smoke and the heat and conclude the home will be uninhabitable for some time. NBC 5 spoke

with the family off camera. They say they’re planning to stay with neighbors.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
