Medford, Ore. — KOBI-TV/NBC5 is proud to announce that we are setting up to host two key debates this upcoming election season.
Senator Jeff Merkley and challenger Dr. Monica Wehby have both accepted our request for a televised debate. The debate is scheduled for October 14th from 7-8pm.
We’re glad to give viewers an opportunity to meet these candidates to discuss the issues that are important to Oregonians and have a chance to get to know who’s going to be leading us in the U.S. Senate over the next six years. KOBI-TV/NBC5 is also working to finalize a gubernatorial debate between incumbent John Kitzhaber and challenger Dennis Richardson.
KOBI-TV/NBC5 is the only place in southern Oregon you can see these two important debates.
