Labor Day weekend caution

Medford, Ore. — Last Labor Day weekend, two people died in traffic crashes on Oregon roads and this year police want to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

This holiday weekend, patrols will be ramped up across the state on the lookout for drunk drivers. The Medford Police Department is encouraging people to plan ahead: before you start drinking, designate a sober driver or arrange for a safe ride home, last year 54 people were arrested for DUII.
