Legislature Back in Salem This Week

The Oregon Legislature is returning to Salem this week.

They are giving the Governor his best chance to corral votes for the controversial legislation on public pensions, taxes and the Columbia River Crossing.

Governor Kitzhaber couldn’t get the pension savings he wanted during the regular session.

And inaction in Washington State sidelined the 2-state plan to replace the I-5 Columbia River Bridge.

His success in the coming days in building support could decide whether lawmakers will be called in for a September special session.
