Marijuana cases in Oregon dropped in July 2015

Ore. — The district attorney of Oregons largest county is preparing to drop dozens of marijuana cases once measure 91 becomes law.

Multnomah Countys DA says they’ll dismiss pending violation-level marijuana possession cases, it’s a total of 50 cases. They all involve marijuana activity that will be considered legal in Oregon when 91 becomes law July 1st, 2015.

The DA’s move may set a precedent for other counties across the state.

The Jackson County district attorney’s office was not available to comment.
