Medford Police check up on local nightlife

Medford, Ore. — Medford Police hit the bars in downtown Medford Saturday night.

Officers partnered up with Oregon Liquor Control Commission, probation and parole officers, and the District Attorney’s Office to do a walk through of 25 downtown bars.

Officers said they do this to ensure the downtown area remains a safe place for people to go out and have fun.

During their sweep they arrested multiple people on warrants, conducted five service permit checks, contacted two sex offenders, and contacted five people violating their probation or parole.
