Mother Nature bring region an early summer heatwave

MEDFORD, ORE. — Southern Oregon and Northern California are being hit with some of the hottest temperatures of the year this weekend.

Temperatures reached into the 90’s on Saturday, and could potentially hit triple digits Monday.

It’s important to stay hydrated even if you don’t feel thirsty in this hot weather. Doctors also recommend avoiding alcohol and caffeine.

If you have to work outside, take frequent breaks and avoid strenuous activity.Wear light, loose fitting clothing, along with plenty of sun screen.

And always remember to check on others especially children and the elderly.
