It’s official! Mt. Ashland is staying open for one more weekend because skiers and boarders beat the spring challenge of 1000 customers in two days.
More than 1500 people visited this weekend. after a dismal season, officials say they’re happy to end on a positive note with beautiful weather.
“It helps us carry some momentum into the next season because people will remember the end of the season the last experience they had and it’s obviously a 10 out of a 10 today,” said Rick Saul
“It’s sunny and there’s tons of snow,” stated Kayli O’ Conner.
Mountain officials say they’re about 30 percent below projections for this past season due to weather.
Mt. Ashland will be open next Saturday and Sunday from 9-4.
