Mt. Ashland Ski Season Comes to a Close

It is officially over, the 2012-2013 ski season at the Mount Ashland ski area wrapped up this afternoon. Hundreds of people hit the slopes one last time today. Officials say it’s been a successful season, good news after last year when the ski resort had one of their worst seasons ever, but this time around…

“It’s been a great great year this year. We’ve been very pleased, very fortunate to receive as much snow as we did and we had a lot of happy people this year,” said Rick Saul.

“The season was fantastic, it started out with a bang, it’s ending really good, it’s even snowing right now and it’s April 14,” said Michael Krebs.

The ski area has several summer projects planned to help widen trails and add additional parking spaces to accommodate more skiers next year.
