Murder Suspect Arrest Eases Fears

A Klamath Falls woman that witnessed a grisly fatal shooting says she’s relieved that the suspected gunman is now behind bars.

The process is now underway to have Leland Thomas Nicholson returned to Oregon to face murder charges.

The shooting happened just outside JD Lamb’s apartment on Easter Sunday night.

28 year old Terry Entriken died after being shot in the back of the head…36 year old Vanessa Alexander was shot in the face, but survived.

Lamb says she and her three daughters were relieved to learn that suspect Leland Nicholson was arrested Monday in Dos Palos, California…

“We were all so excited that he’s behind bars now.” Noted Lamb. “We can actually – for the first time last night, we actually went outside at night.”

Klamath County District Attorney Rob Patridge says he’s gotten approval from the California Governor’s office to begin the process of returning Nicholson to Oregon to face charges…

“He hasn’t waived extradition, so we’re waiting on that – and waiting for the courts to do the business that they have to do down there.”

Charges against Nicholson include murder, attempted aggravated murder, and assault.
