Neighbors help catch burglars

Gold Hill, Ore. — Two people had allegedly broke into a home on the 600 block of North Sixth Avenue in Gold Hill, on Thursday night.

Several the witnesses followed the suspects, and were able to provide information on what the suspects were wearing and tell police where they split up.

Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department were able to use the witness descriptions and identified the suspects as Rex Stansell and Melissa Crandell.

Both of them are in the Jackson County Jail on a number of charges.

All of the items from the house have been recovered.

Deputies also found a number of backpacks inside of the residence packed with items ready to be taken.
