Obama Administration Approves Oregon Health Insurance Exchange

Oregon is one of the first 6 states to get approval to operate a health insurance exchange from the Obama administration.

The announcement was made Monday by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Oregon was given conditional approval for its plan called cover Oregon, an online marketplace where individuals and small businesses can shop for and compare health coverage options.

‘Cover Oregon’ will be available in October 2013.
