Oregon collects $6.8 million so far from first quarter marijuana tax payments

640x360_50826C00-BONLROre. — Marijuana tax payment numbers through the first quarter of the year are in. The Oregon Department of Revenue says they’ve processed more than $6.8 million in taxes since January.

Medical marijuana dispensaries started collecting a 25 percent tax on recreational marijuana at the beginning of the year. Not all taxes are in yet and dispensaries have until May 2nd to postmark their first-quarter returns.

Payment vouchers, quarterly return forms, and more information about the marijuana tax program are available at www.oregon.gov/dor/marijuana.
