Oregon Sentate To Decide On Youth Voting Registration

The Oregon House has passed a bill that would allow 16 year olds to register to vote when they get their drivers license.

House Bill 2988 passed by only ten votes; 35-25.

The Bill allows young drivers to register to vote when they first get their license however the age for voting would remain at 18.

The Bill now heads to the Oregon Senate.
