Medford, Ore. — The Medford Police Department will conduct a targeted pedestrian enforcement operation Friday, on E. McAndrews Road and North Keene Way Drive from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The three hour operation focuses on drivers failing to yield the right of way to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
Police want to remind drivers that there is a crosswalk at every intersection, regardless if it is marked or unmarked. Also, Oregon law requires a driver must stop, and remain stopped, if a pedestrian is walking in your lane of traffic or the lane adjacent.
