PRS to develop on campus retirement community

Medford, Ore. — Pacific Retirement Services is working to develop a fully integrated retirement community on a college campus.

The non-profit headquartered in Medford was selected by Arizona State University for the project. The state of the art facility will house residents over 65-years-old right across the street from the school’s football field.

Chief Executive Officer Brian McLemore said the seniors will receive campus cards to access all the resources provided for students, making it a one of a kind community.

“There’s been a lot of communities built with an affiliation with a university where they’ve had a relationship but really to have one on the campus where the residents have access to all the amenities and services of the university will be very unique in the country,” McLemore said.

Construction on the project won’t begin for another 12 to 18 months. The facility will house 300-400 seniors when it’s complete.
