RC aircraft soar to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network

Eagle Point, Ore. — People packed Agate Skyways today to see remote control airplanes take flight.

It was the 37th year for the Rogue Eagles RC charity air show.

Around 1,000 people watched as more than 70 planes soared overhead. Some of those planes are even hand built — one of them taking five years to make.

Organizers say so far, It’s the biggest show yet.

“It’s fun it’s exciting and you get to watch things you’ve never seen before,” said PR Officer for the Rogue Eagles Larry Cogdell.

One hundred percent of the proceeds goes to the Children’s Miracle Network.

Last year the event raised $2,500 and organizers are hoping to double that number this year.

If you missed out today there is also a show tomorrow at Agate Skyways. Gates open at 11:00.
