Starting Monday and for about six weeks road construction will slow traffic along Riverside Avenue and will be rerouted at night.
Three blocks of Riverside Avenue between fourth to Sixth Street will turn to gravel as crews work to put in a new drainage system and cables as part of the Lithia Commons Project. The entire section will also be leveled out.
Eric Iverson, Lithia project manager says “Riverside gets rebuilt mostly to put things like drainage, wiring for lighting in the ground, as part of the Lithia Commons Project so it needs to be torn up.”
Road construction will also close down North Bartlett street between Fourth and Six Streets for several weeks.
