There was legal maneuvering by both sides Friday in the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse case.
Sandusky arrived at the courthouse wanting to tackle conditions of his house arrest, conditions that may be partly behind wife Dottie’s open hostility toward the media.
Dottie nearly ran over WPXI reporter Courtney Brennan earlier as she was reporting on complaints from Sandusky’s neighbors, who say he’s frequently seen outside on his porch peering toward children on a playground nearby.
Prosecutors asked at the hearing that the conditions be tightened to force him to stay inside.
Sandusky said the neighbors are wrong and asked that his house arrest be relaxed so he can have the same freedom to visit grandchildren that his wife has.
Sandusky can’t have contact with anyone under 18 after being charged with 52 counts of sexually abusing ten boys.
The judge says he’ll rule soon on the conditions of house arrest, as well as whether an outside jury will be brought to State College for Sandusky’s trial that’s tentatively set to start in mid-May.
