Simmons Takes The Stand

Shocking developments… as William Simmons, the man accused in Kaelin Glaziers 1996 murder…. takes the stand in his own defense.

Not long after Kaelin Glazier disappeared everything changed for William Simmons

“Everybody looked at me different.”

But he maintains he had nothing to do with her disappearance from Ruch… her body found 12 years later in a field across the street from his home.

Simmons says he was unplugging the VCR when Glazier left for church… saying he didn’t feel the need to walk her.

“She was just going to the church, I didn’t have any reason to walk her home.”

Simmons testified he heard footsteps in the gravel walking away.

“Just walking away.”

Asked about statements made to FBI Agent Shawna Carroll about a do over day Simmons clarified…

“I said I wish I could’ve helped, but I don’t think it was a do-over comment.”

Not claiming to be a saint he detailed his criminal record…the most serious of which occurred after Glazier died.

“Three theft in first-degree convictions, one identity theft conviction, and one delivery of methamphetamine conviction.”

Adding again that he had nothing to do with Glaziers death or disappearance.

“No, I did not.”

And with that the defense rested their case.

Closing arguments begin on Monday at 9 am… the jury will receive instructions and begin deliberations.
