The auto repair shop off Central and Edwards was wiped clean of 250-300 old rotors, each weighing 15-30 pounds. The cash value for the scrap metal ranges from $500-$1,000.

All that money was going to be used to improve the store and things like that..so its definitely an effect on us, said store Manager, Scott Michel.

First thing we want do is find out where the suspect is going to take it..hes going to try to off load it as scrap for money, said Medford Police Lieutenant, Mike Budreau.

The scrap metal yards in Medford and Grants Pass have been notified of the stolen rotors.

Midas Mufflers is now looking into putting surveillance cameras outside their store to prevent something like this from happening again.
