Update (7/29 12:20 p.m.): Josephine County Emergency Services says a LEVEL 1 Evacuation is being requested for residents on WildPark Lane near the Reeves Creek Fire.
A LEVEL 1 Evacuation means ‘be ready’ for a potential evacuation. Residents should be aware of the danger in their area and monitor emergency services websites and local media outlets.
If conditions worsen, emergency services personnel may contact you via an emergency notification system
Reeves Creek Road remains closed.

Update (7/29 8:25 a.m.): According to the Oregon Department of Forestry, the fire has burned nearly 250 acres and it is now 70% lined. Reeves Creek Rd. is closed, except for residents, but Highway 199 is open. No evacuations were necessary. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Selma, Ore. — Oregon Department of Forestry crews and other area fire fighters responded to a fast moving wildfire off Reeves Creek Rd. and Highway 99 in Selma Monday evening.
Fire officials said the fire grew from 20 acres to nearly 100 acres within hours, threatening structures in the area.
Oregon Department of Forestry, Illinois Valley Fire Department, Josephine County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County and additional resources are fighting the fire.
Road Closures for the time being, are limited to Reeves Creek Rd. from Hwy 199 to South Shore Drive.
An evacuation order has not been issued at this time, however, the Josephine County Sheriff says if you need extra time packing or getting animals ready please do so.
The County Emergency Operations Center and Public Inquiry line are not currently open.
