Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley is making his rounds throughout the state.
Sunday,he held a town hall meeting at Medford’s Carnegie Library.
It’s the 187th town hall that Merkley has held as U.S. Senator.
He was joined by Oregon State Senator Alan Bates.
Merkely took questions from the public and says it’s important to him to hear what issues are most important to Oregonian’s.
“The number one concern for folks are living wage jobs. There’s no program that can substitute for the value of a job that gives a family a strong financial foundation,” Merkley said.
Merkley also talked about the issues happening in Washington DC including the recently cut unemployment benefits.
