Staying safe New Year’s Eve

Medford, Ore. — As people hit the town to celebrate the new year Jason Hadley will be working.

“We see some nasty things and people party a lot on a night like tonight and we want to keep people safe,” Hadley said.

He’s a supervisor at Dick’s Towing. Tonight he and his coworkers will ring in 2015 by protecting people in the valley.

“We have probably triple the employees on tonight rather than any other night because of how busy we get,” Hadley said.

Just call them and they’ll pick you and your vehicle up for free.

Even though their phones will be ringing off the hook all night Hadley said he’d rather be slammed than have someone get in a serious accident.

“It’s awful because usually the drunk driver gets out okay then the innocent gets hurt,” he said.

Medford Poilce Sergeant Don Lane said they’ve also added patrols for tonight.

“We want people to have fun we just want them to do it responsibly so others don’t have to pay a serious price for someone else’s decision,” he said.
