As Eagle Point District Nine teachers walked off the job, schools sat empty.
Late last week the district announced that classes would be canceled both Monday and Tuesday because there was still no agreement concerning teacher contracts.
Tuesday at 6:00 A.M. employees officially went on strike. Parents and students react to the strike that the district say will close schools until Monday May 14th.
