Study: Deep voice influences voters

Could you be influenced by the pitch of a politician’s voice New research suggests just that.

Agroup of men and women listened to pairs of recorded voices urging them to vote. Then, theywere asked which voice seemed older, stronger, more competent, and which they would be likely to vote for.

60%-76% of the votes went to the deeper voiced candidate. Voters associated the deeper tone with strength and competence more than age.

An interesting fact, experts say this preference goes back to ‘caveman instincts’. People associate leadership with physical power more than experience.
