The Douglas Complex Fire Prompts More Evacuations

Officials have evacuated more residents whose homes are in danger near the Douglas Complex Fire near the Josephine and Douglas Dounty border.

The latest evacuations are in effect for the Poorman Creek Area, just off Lower Graves Creek Road.

Those evacuations were put into effect this afternoon.

Yesterday the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office evacuated all homes west of McCullough road to Reuben.

Residents east of McCullough Creek road to the mill just outside of Glendale have been asked to prepare for a potential evacuation.

The Red Cross has opened up shelter for residents who have been evacuated at Glendale Elementary School.

The organization says ifresidents have been evacuated, they have wide variety of services they can provide to those residents all free of charge.

The shelter will be open for at least the next two days.

The shelter is located at 100 at Pacific Avenue in Glendale.
