Update 10:30 AM, Sunday July 28:Late Saturday night Governor John Kitzhaber declared the Douglas Complex Fire a conflagration.
More than 750 fire crews from around the region have been called in.
Evacuations are still in effect for homes west of McCullough Creek Road to Reuben. Resident to the east of McCullough Creek Road are still being asked to prepare for a potential evacuation. The Red Cross has set up an evacuation center at Glendale Elementary School.
This morning there are conflicting reports of it’s size, they say it is between 7,500 acres and 10,000 acres, and is 2% contained.

About 10,000 acres has burned in the Cow Creek Canyon, just west of Glendale.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is evacuating all homes west of McCullough Road to Reuben.
Residents east of McCullough Creek Road to the mill just outside of Glendale are asked to prepare for a potential evacuation.
The Red Cross has opened up shelter for residents who have been evacuated at Glendale Elementary School at 100 Pacific Ave. in Glendale.
