Near klamath falls, ore.– Oregon State Police are re-routing drivers on highway 140 in front of the Running Y-Ranch Resort after they said a pick up truck and motor home collided head on. It happened at 6:30pm Witnesses said they saw the pickup eastbound off highway 140 collide head-on with the westbound motor home.
The truck caught on fire and OSP said that driver died on scene. Two people in the motor home were taken to Sky Lakes Medical Center. The accident forced the closure of both lanes for about an hour. No names of the people involved have been released at this time. The accident is under investigation.
OSP said wet weather is to blame for a second accident near Cave Junction tonight. It happened at around six Wednesday evening. OSP said three cars were involved and Highway 199 near the 13,000 block was closed for an hour. Nobody was seriously injured in the accident and nobody was cited for DUII.
