Two separate violent, late night crimes in Grants Pass

At least two people were stabbed lateSunday night at Home Stretch Tavern in Grants Pass. Around the same time, public safety officials say one man was shot in a separate incident.

The stabbing took place after a fight broke out at the tavern located on Fruitdale Drive in the Southeast area of Josephine County. At least two people received at least one stab wound. Both were transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The shooting happened at 9 p.m. Sunday night after an incident of apparent ‘road rage’. It happened in the Clover Lane area of Grants Pass around 9 p.m. A 38-year-old man was taken to Three Rivers Community hospital. The condition of the victim is unknown.

One suspect has been arrested in the shooting case. Police are expected to release more detailsin both investigations Monday afternoon.
