Two women shot in White City, officials searching for suspect

White City, Ore. — Jackson County Sheriff deputies are searching for a suspect after two adult females were shot Friday morning.

Officials say they were dispatched to the 2500 block of Antelope Road for a reported shooting at 5:28 a.m. Upon arrival, officials say they found two adult females with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.

Investigators are still trying to determine a motive.

“We are looking into all avenues as to the relationship piece, were the subjects known to each other, was it gang related Those are all things we are asking right now and following up on,” explained Jackson County Sheriff Corey Falls.

Detectives say they’re looking for a “mid-size white, Dodge pickup, single cab that has a newer appearance and tinted windows” in connection with the shooting.

Those who live close to the shooting say they are shocked that something like this happened so close to home.

“It’s scary, I believe in the 2nd amendment, people have the right to their weapons, but they don’t have the right to shoot at people innocently, that’s just, they have to be found,” said Michael Durnford.
