Valley’s First Atlas Race in Gold Hill

It was a day of fitness for fun at Gold Hill’s Estremado Arena today.

The Atlas Race was the first of its kind this year in the Rogue Valley.

Unlike other races, this one is based on group effort. It starts with a 4 mile run and an obstacle course. The group can’t be done until each team member crosses the finish line.

“Today is about becoming a kid again. We’ve changed fitness to be not fun. Today, we make fitness fun and they are having a blast.”

“It was rough, but it was totally worth it.”

“It was a lot more tiring than we both thought it was going to be.”

Once they crossed the finish line, team members received a medal.

Afterwards, all types of food vendors, drinks, and entertainment were available for everyone to enjoy.
