West Medford Home 'A Total Loss,' Blaze is 'Suspicious'

A West Medford house goes ablaze with flames shooting into the air.

Fire crews were called out to an abandoned home on the 15 hundred block of Thomas road just before 1 Wednesday morning.

The blaze started in the back and spread up the attic.

The home was boarded up and had no power, which firefighters say is very suspicious.

Thanks to a quick response by firefighters, the fire did not spread to near-by homes, so no one was hurt.

As for the home though, officials say it is a total loss. The investigation will continue later on Wednesday.
