Portland, Ore. –(KGW) A bicyclist was hit by a falling tree while riding in Portland, Oregon Tuesday.
The woman was riding her bike when a large tree fell onto the roadway and hit her, as well as an occupied vehicle, around 4:10 p.m., according to Portland police.
Tuesday’s extremely windy weather sent trees toppling around the Portland area. Portland Bureau of Transportation officials responded to more than 20 tree calls Tuesday as wind gusts were projected to reach more than 60 miles per hour.
