Woman facing manslaughter charges in murder of uncle

Medford, Ore. — A woman appeared in the Jackson County Court Wednesday accused of shooting and killing her uncle. The suspect’s mother was also in court and said her daughter was acting in her defense and said it’s a blessing that her brother’s dead.

Sheriff Corey Falls said it happened in Jacksonville before 4:00 Tuesday afternoon. When deputies arrived on scene they found 63-year-old Shane Patrick-Moore shot dead outside a home on the 7200 block of Thompson Creek Road.

Falls said they arrested 26-year-old Aisling Tucker Moore-Reed, who goes by Tucker Reed. She’s the victim’s niece.

Reed was arraigned Wednesday on two counts of manslaughter. Reed’s mother, Kelly Moore, was also in court. She is the victim’s sister. She was covered in bruises and said Shane terrorized their family for years. She said he threatened to kill her and was physically assaulting her when he was shot.

Kelly said she’s horrified, but is glad her brother’s dead.

Reed is being held on $200,000 bail. She’ll appear in court again on August 3rd for a preliminary hearing.
