Low weekend temps expected

Medford, Ore. – Cold air will be headed into southern Oregon this weekend, according to the Medford office of the National Weather Service.

NWS officials said a dry, cold air mass will settle over the area Thursday night, bringing cold temperatures.

Lows on Saturday morning are expected to be in the teens to single digits east of the Cascades, possibly dipping to below zero, according to the NWS.

Forecasters are also expecting lows in the mid-20s west of the cascades with temperatures in the teens possible. Lows on the coast are expected to be in the mid-30s.

The NWS said to take precautions to protect yourself, property and pets.
