CINCINNATI, Ohio – Macy’s is shutting down their physical locations due to the novel coronavirus.
Effective at the end of business Tuesday, March 17, Macy’s will shut their doors through March 31, CNBC reports.
“The health and safety of our customers, colleagues and communities is our utmost priority,” CEO Jeff Gennette said.
The retailer will offer benefits and compensation to workers during the closure.
Macy’s will continue operating online.
