Magnitude 3.1 quake strikes west of Ashland

ASHLAND, Ore. – A small earthquake was recorded near Ashland Friday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey said a magnitude 3.1 quake struck about 9 miles west of the city at 9:54 a.m. on April 24, 2020.

The quake originated at a depth of 1.5 miles, according to the USGS.

According to officials, residents in Ashland may have felt the quake, but people farther away may not have felt anything.

So far, there are no confirmed reports of any damage.
