Butte Falls, Ore. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 8:15 Wednesday night to a reported shooting between two armed people in a wooded area near Butte Falls.
JSCO said when deputies arrived they found 33-year-old Dick Daniels dead at the scene.
Deputies said the Major Assault and Death Investigation Unit was called. Everyone involved has been interviewed and there is no threat to the community. No arrests have been made.
According to JSCO, more information will be released as the investigation continues.
