Josephine County, Ore. – Just before midnight on Monday, November 21st, emergency personnel responded to a reported multiple vehicle crash on Interstate 5 near milepost 52, just south of Grants Pass.
Troopers said a Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound on I-5 when it drifted off the roadway into the median. It then rolled several times, ejecting the driver onto the shoulder of the interstate. The pickup came to rest in the travel lanes of I-5 where it was struck by another vehicle.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified by OSP as 30-year-old Grants Pass resident Garette D. Wilson, was taken to a local hospital where he died shortly after arriving. The other driver involved in the collision was not injured.
OSP said the crash is still under investigation.
