Grants Pass, Ore. — New charges tonight for a woman who police say fatally shot a man at her Grants Pass home.
Oregon State Police say 24-year-old Michael Hockersmith died Saturday morning at the hospital.
According to troopers, he got into a disturbance with the residents at their home on the 4000 block of Highway 199 on Thursday.
During the encounter one of the residents, Ronnette Gideon, shot Hockersmith with a firearm.
Gideon is now facing a murder with a firearm charge –up from attempted murder.
