MEDFORD, Ore. – Local firefighters have been deployed to help battle wildfires burning in Southern California.
Wednesday night, a Medford Fire-Rescue strike team left our area bound for the fires. Later that evening, MFR posted an update with photos of houses they’re working to protect from the Thomas Fire in the Ventura Area.
Firefighters said winds continue to be a “significant factor.”
According to the City of Medford, crews are prepared to stay for as long as two weeks.
