Missing woman’s van found along Rogue River

0509 missing womanGrants Pass, Ore. — The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety said that a van belonging to a missing Grants Pass woman was found alongside the Rogue River on Tuesday morning.

Deputies said 77-year-old Doris Cova was reported missing after her family arrived at her home for a scheduled visit on Monday, only to find her and her white 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan missing.

According to officers, Cova is an outdoors enthusiast and enjoys hiking in the forests around Grants Pass.

Detectives said that an investigation revealed that Doris has presumably drowned in the river near the Hog Creek boat ramp.

Josephine County Sheriff’s Office Marine Deputies have been deployed downstream of the the boat ramp to search for any sign of Cova.
