“We’re going to make it available for them to solicit questions,” Bob Wise, General Manager of KOBI-TV NBC5 says, “and make sure that we’re hitting the topics that are important to them.”
2 years ago, NBC5 hosted a live debate between Governor John Kitzhaber and Rep. Dennis Richardson. We’re pleased to announce a similar debate will take place this October between Democratic Governor Kate Brown and Republican gubernatorial candidate Dr. Bud Pierce.
It’s the seventh debate NBC5 has hosted in the last decade.
“No other Southern Oregon television station has had any,” Wise adds, “so I think it shows our leadership in terms of wanting our viewers to have the information and be informed as we come into a very important election.”
The debate will take place on Thursday, October 13th, from 7pm to 8pm on NBC5. We’ll have more information on the format of the debate and how you can submit your questions as the date approaches.
