Medford, Ore. — Construction crews are making headway on several new businesses in the South Gateway Center in Medford. Those businesses are bringing in hundreds of new jobs to the area.
Cracker Barrel is filling nearly 200 jobs alone. They’re not the only restaurant opening in the area in the next few months. A second MOD pizza and Chipotle restaurant is also set to open soon. Applications are open on their websites. Also in the works is a Holiday Inn Express, located just across the street from the South Gateway Center near the Marriott hotels.
“For every person who gets one of those jobs, they go out and put more money into our local economy. Those are all good things. They also support our tourism industry as people come into the Rogue Valley,” said Matt Brinkley, planning director for City of Medford.
All of the restaurants are looking to hire several types of jobs, including cooks and servers.
