New owner means changes for Bear Creek Plaza

Medford, Ore. — Changes are coming for shoppers who visit Medford’s Bear Creek Plaza. Now under new ownership the 17-acre open shopping center off McAndrews and Biddle Road will soon be getting a makeover.

Bear Creek Ventures LLC, an Oregon Limited Liability real estate company has sold the plaza to Dan Tucci of Tucci Investments out of Eugene for a price tag of $24 million.

One of the principals at Bear Creek Ventures LLC, Aldy Damian, said the location of the center is irreplaceable, but Tucci said the thing that’s missing is modernization.

Tucci said the largest portion of the renovations will consist of giving the store fronts a face lift, making the architecture fit with the newer stores like Boot Barn and Tuesday Morning. He also said they’ll do some work on the asphalt and landscaping.

But shoppers shouldn’t expect to see any new retailers moving in. As of now, Tucci said the plaza is so full there aren’t any opportunities for new stores, but notes that could change in the future.

Shoppers can expect the renovations to be done late next spring. Tucci said they hope to start the project early this winter.
